Job summary

Keck Hospital of USC is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support nursing staff in patient care delivery, clerical tasks, and unit organization. The role emphasizes assisting with basic care, documentation, and equipment setup.

You will respond to patient calls promptly, help with hygiene, meals, mobility, and maintain a safe, clean environment while collaborating with registered nurses to implement care plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CA DPH) preferred or required.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
• Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) required or to be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient calls within 10 minutes.
• Assist with hygiene, meals, ambulation and mobility.
• Document care provided, including vitals and intake/output.
• Maintain clean patient rooms and ensure safety of equipment.
• Collaborate with RN to implement and adjust patient care plans.
