Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to deliver patient-centered care under RN/LPN supervision in a fast-paced hospital setting in Tucson, AZ. The role includes assisting with daily living activities, vital signs, mobility, and timely communication with the healthcare team.

The ideal candidate has 0–2 years in acute care or is enrolled in a Nursing program, with BCLS certification within 90 days. CNA or CPCT certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred
• Basic knowledge of patient care practices and equipment is expected
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities are beneficial
• Effective communication and teamwork skills are essential

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in delivering care and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Record and report vital signs and patient data to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Support patients with meals, hygiene, mobility, and comfort.
• Assist with positioning, ambulation, and use of mobility aids.
• Collect urine/stool samples and monitor blood glucose per protocol.
• Communicate patient information to the care team and adhere to safety protocols.
• Maintain infection control standards and PPE usage as required.
• Participate in performance improvement and risk management activities.
