Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a patient care assistant to provide direct patient care and assist with non-direct unit coordination in a stable patient population. You will support RN staff, maintain patient comfort, and ensure accurate documentation in the EMR while following hospital policies and infection control procedures.

The role emphasizes teamwork, patient safety, and timely communication with the care team to support admissions, discharges, and transfers as part of daily unit

Qualifications

• Must attend 2 weeks of training.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide and document direct patient care and activities of daily living.
• Participate in quality and patient satisfaction initiatives.
• Document vital signs, weights, I/O and treatments accurately.
• Assist with unit activities such as supply stocking and equipment cleaning.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
