Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification required.
• Preferred: CNA or Medical Assistant credential.
• Preferred: Nursing Fundamentals completed in an accredited program.
• One year of related experience as NA/PCA/CCT/PCT.
• Acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the professional nurse in patient care within scope of practice.
• Provide activities of daily living and ensure patient safety.
• Greet patients and families, respond promptly to requests.
• Collect, record, and communicate patient data to the nurse.
• Prepare rooms for admission, transfer, or discharge.
• Transport patients and assist with sitter duties as needed.
• Provide comfort measures and assist with mobility and ROM as assigned.
• Assist with procedures and set up equipment as directed.
• Care for patient belongings and document admissions/discharges.
