Job summary

Tufts Medical Center, Inc. seeks a Clinical Care Technician to provide direct patient care under RN supervision and support patient safety on designated units. You will assist with routine needs and environmental tasks to ensure comfortable, patient-centered care.

The role requires BLS certification and a high school diploma; CNA/MA and acute care experience are preferred, with daily coordination with nursing staff and family. 36 hours weekly with rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification required.
• CNA or MA preferred; Nursing Fundamentals completion.
• 1 year related experience in NA/PCA/CCT/PCT up to Acute care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the professional registered nurse in patient care and communicates findings to the nurse.
• Provides activities of daily living safely and respectfully.
• Greets patients and responds to requests with nurse supervision as needed.
• Records and communicates patient data to the nurse in a timely manner.
• Prepares rooms for admission/transfer/discharge; ensures equipment is ready.
• Transports patients as needed and acts as a sitter per guidelines.
• Provides comfort measures and promotes patient activity and mobility.
• Sets up procedures; cleans and disposes of used equipment per procedures.
• Collects specimens and assists with lab-related tasks following Standard Precautions.
