Job summary

Tufts Medicine seeks a Clinical Care Technician to support nursing teams with direct patient care and a safe, comfortable environment on designated units. You will work under the supervision of a professional nurse and contribute to patient-centered care, environmental support, and patient safety.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and BLS; preferred credentials include CNA or MA, completion of Nursing Fundamentals, and about one year of related experience in acute care

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification.
• Current CNA or MA is preferred.
• Completion of Nursing Fundamentals in an accredited program.
• 1 year of related experience in acute care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists registered nurses in patient care ensuring safety and dignity.
• Supports activities of daily living and basic patient procedures.
• Greets patients and families, responds to requests promptly.
• Records and communicates clinical data to the nurse promptly.
• Prepares rooms for admission/transfer/discharge and maintains equipment.
• Transports patients and acts as a sitter when required.
• Provides comfort measures and promotes patient activity.
• Sets up for procedures and handles cleaning/disposal of equipment.
• Collects specimens and performs basic specimen handling.
• Cares for biomedical equipment and reports malfunctions.
• Performs wound care and basic monitoring as directed.
• Performs 12-lead EKG and connects monitoring equipment.
• Assists with admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed.
• Responds to call lights and performs hourly rounds.
