Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Preferred CNA or MA certification.
• One year of related experience as NA/PCA/CCT/PCT.
• Acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the registered nurse in patient care, ensuring safe, patient-centered care.
• Help with activities of daily living in a safe, respectful manner.
• Greet patients and respond promptly to requests, seeking nurse supervision as needed.
• Collect, record, and communicate patient data to the nurse.
• Prepare rooms for admission/transfer/discharge with standardized equipment.
• Transport patients safely to various hospital areas.
• Provide comfort measures and support patient mobility as assigned.
• Set up procedures and assist with equipment as directed by staff.
• Clean and discard used equipment following procedures.
• Collect specimens and prepare them for lab testing.
• Maintain biomedical equipment and report malfunctions.
• Clean wounds and apply dressings after nurse assessment.
• Perform 12-lead EKG and monitor patient equipment as directed.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge tasks.
• Respond to call lights and assist as needed.
