Tufts Medicine is seeking a Clinical Care Technician to provide professional and nonprofessional nursing support, assisting in direct patient care, environmental support, and patient safety on designated units. Work under nurse supervision, completing competencies and contributing to patient-centered care.

The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians and nurses in a dynamic hospital setting. The position offers a rotating schedule including days, nights, and weekends, with a base pay range

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with detailed, confidential material.
• Computer experience.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care.

Responsabilités

• Assist the professional nurse in patient care and communicate findings to the nurse.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living safely and respectfully.
• Greet patients and families; respond to requests promptly.
• Collect and relay patient clinical data to the nurse.
• Prepare rooms for admission/transfer/discharge.
• Transport patients as needed and act as sitter per guidelines.
• Provide comfort measures and promote patient activity.
• Set up procedures; clean and discard used equipment.
• Collect specimens and perform specimen testing per standard precautions.
• Care for biomedical equipment and report malfunctions.
