Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for a part-time, day shift position. The PCT will work under the supervision of a nurse to provide direct patient care, assist with admissions and discharges, and monitor patients’ conditions for any changes.

Provide patient care, support the admissions and discharge process, and comply with patient safety practices under the direction of the professional nurse. Observe patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions and report any change to the nursing.Education:HS - High School Grad or EquivalentOne of the following programs is acceptable for education: Sentara Care Partner Certification Program, successful completion of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), National Patient Care Technician (NCPCT), completion of US Navy Hospital Corps School, Emergency Services to include EMR, EMS, EMT, AEMT and Paramedic, or current student enrolled in a clinical program having completed at least one semester of a (RN, LPN, RT or PT) or current work experience within last three years as a PCT or Nursing Assistant.Certifications/Licensure:AHA BLS certification within 90 days of hire.Education:One year of health care experience preferred.We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $18.93 - $27.41 hourly.
