Ascension is seeking a dedicated nurse aide for the Med Surg unit in Murfreesboro, TN. The role supports patient care with a focus on personal care, mobility, and safety, while maintaining accurate records and a clean, ready environment for nursing teams.

You will work full-time daytime shifts, collaborating with clinicians to monitor patient status and ensure comfort and dignity for all patients in our Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford facility.

Competenze

• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

• Personal Care & Comfort: Assist patients with essential personal care and activities of daily living to ensure comfort and dignity.
• Safety & Mobility Assistance: Aid with movement, positioning, and transfers as directed by the clinical team.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Personal Care & Comfort: Foster a respectful healing environment by assisting patients with essential personal care and activities of daily living (ADLs) to ensure comfort and dignity.
• Safety & Mobility Assistance: Enhance patient recovery and safety by aiding with careful movement, positioning, and transfers as directed by the clinical team.
• Clinical Observation & Reporting: Serve as a vital observer for nursing staff by promptly identifying and reporting any changes in a patient’s physical, mental, or emotional condition.
• Documentation & Environment Maintenance: Maintain accurate clinical records of care activities while ensuring patient rooms remain orderly and medical equipment is functional and ready for use.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Nurse Aide preferred.

Education
