Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is hiring a Patient Care Tech IHR in Lake Forest to support nursing staff under RN supervision. The role includes vital signs monitoring, glucose testing, and helping patients with daily activities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Nursing students with one clinical rotation, or CNA, CMA, or EMT certification accepted.
• CPR - Basic Life Support required.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care activities as delegated by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, glucose measurements, and intake/output.
• Assists patients with personal care and activities of daily living.
• Reports abnormal findings to nursing staff promptly.
• Keeps patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Demonstrates flexibility, organization and multitasking under stress.
