Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide essential support to the nursing team in a full-time role. The candidate will assist with ADLs, vital signs, and daily care planning under RN supervision, ensuring patient safety and comfort across shifts.

The position offers a $18.94 per hour minimum starting rate, with higher rates for experienced staff and up to $3 nightly or weekend shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Provides fundamental patient care under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Must be reliable, punctual and able to work full-time shifts.
• Must be able to perform ADLs, vital signs, and routine nursing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (hygiene, mobility, meals).
• Collect vital signs and daily weights.
• Perform Point of Care testing and specimen handling.
• Support patient safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate medical records and report changes to nurses.
• Assist with equipment checks and supply management.
