Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Northern Kentucky in Fort Thomas, KY is hiring a Patient Care Tech (PCT) for full-time 12-hour shifts on days and nights. Compensation is up to $26.44/hour, with competitive shift differentials for nights and weekends.

A $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered. The role supports post-ICU inpatient care and requires a high school diploma or GED with 3+ years of related experience and BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a patient care tech, or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned
