Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Northern Kentucky is hiring a Patient Care Tech (PCT) for PRN/night shifts at Fort Thomas, KY. The role focuses on compassionate patient care, daily living activities, and collaboration with the care team.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED (or related experience) and hospital experience; BLS is required within 90 days of hire. Compensation starts at $22.44 per hour with night/weekend differentials.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing and daily activities.
• Conduct hourly rounds and monitor patient comfort and safety.
• Transport patients to treatment areas and assist with transfers.
• Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms and equipment; keep supply areas stocked.
• Perform other duties as assigned by nursing staff.

Schedule: PRN/Per Diem - 12 Hour Shifts - Night Shift 7:00pm-7:00am

Compensation: $22.44 per hour, plus competitive shift differentials for nights and weekends

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• Requires hospital experience as a patient care tech, or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
