Job summary

Southern Kentucky Rehabilitation Hospital in Bowling Green, KY is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join our inpatient rehabilitation team. Schedule includes both shifts, with a $2,000 sign-on bonus and an hourly rate up to $19.51 based on experience.

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will provide routine patient care, assist with mobility, feeding, and daily activities, and participate in rounding to support patient well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Requires hospital experience as a patient care technician, nursing assistant, or related field.
• Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from various treatment areas when necessary; assists in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Performs dressing, showering, bathing and oral feeding for patients.
• Answers patient calls and performs services in a timely manner that contribute to patient well-being; participates in hourly rounds.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Answers patient lights and performs services in a timely manner that adds to the physical well-being of the patient. Participates in patient turning/repositioning, performs purposeful hourly rounds.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Requires hospital experience as a patient care technician, nursing assistant or experience in a related field such as a medical assistant or as an actively enrolled nursing student.
• Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment required.
