Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Northern Kentucky in Fort Thomas, KY is hiring a Patient Care Tech (PCT) to provide compassionate, essential patient support on 12-hour shifts. The role includes bathing, oral care, feeding assistance, and hourly rounds, with duties extending to patient transport and room/equipment upkeep.

Compensation goes up to $26.44/hour with night/weekend differentials and a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• BLS certification due within 90 days of hire is required.
• Experience as a patient care technician or in a related role (e.g., medical assistant or RN student) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Bathe patients using basin-less bath products and assist with oral hygiene and feeding.
• Perform hourly rounds and monitor patient needs.
• Transport patients between centers and assist with moving patients in wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Maintain cleanliness and stock of patient rooms and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule: Full Time - 12 Hour Shifts - Day Shift 7:00am-7:00pm & Night Shift 7:00pm-7:00am

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients' rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a patient care tech, or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
