Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Central Kentucky in Danville, KY is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our compassionate team on full-time 12-hour shifts.

You will perform patient bathing, assist with mobility, rounds, and transport, contributing to safe, patient-centered care. We offer strong orientation, generous benefits, and a clear clinical ladder to advance.

Minimum qualifications include a High School diploma or GED with 3+ years in healthcare and BLS due within 90 days of hire.

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform bathing and basic patient care
• Assist with hourly rounds and mobility
• Transport patients to treatment areas and assist with transfers
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and patient rooms
• Maintain unit stock of supplies and equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Position: Patient Care Technician (PCT)

Location: Danville, KY

Schedule: Full Time, 12hr shifts, both AM and PM positions availableCompensation: $18 - $21.94 per hour (based on experience) PLUS shift differential for night and/or weekend shifts

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant)
