Ardent Health Services seeks a Day Shift/PRN Adult Psychiatric Patient Care Tech (PCT) in Cushing, OK. You will support nursing staff by assisting with ADLs, monitoring patients, and handling basic transport and housekeeping tasks.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, collecting specimens for labs, and communicating patient progress to Registered Nurses. BLS is required within 14 days of hire. CNA/PCT or EMT-P preferred.

Formación

• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire.
• Preferred credentials include CNA, PCT, or paramedic (EMT-P) certification or current enrollment in nursing school.

• Observes patients to report progress to RN or medical staff.
• Records vital signs and collects specimens for lab tests.

• Hillcrest Hospital Cushing is a 99-bed community-owned facility offering 24-hour emergency services, cardiology, general surgery, orthopedics, diagnostic imaging, withdrawal stabilization, wound care and urology.

Learn About a Day in the Life of a PCT:

• Works under moderate supervision of nursing and medical staff to perform all duties of a PCT.
• Assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
• Observes patients’ progress to prepare and disseminate reports to Registered Nurse or other medical staff.
• Obtains and records patients' vital signs and collects specimens for lab tests.
• Provides basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
• Additionally, this position measures and records patients' intake and output and other measurements in accordance with unit routines, assists patients with range of motion, and draws blood.

Job Requirements:

• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Completion of approved CNA, PCT, or paramedic (EMT-P) certification which includes BLS, or currently enrolled in nursing school.
