Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Patient Care Tech to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role focuses on basic patient care, including comfort, hygiene, vital signs, and mobility, while maintaining patient safety and privacy. Required qualifications include nursing aide training or STNA/CNA or nursing program with clinical experience.

BLS is preferred. EPIC EHR training is listed as preferred, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and communication

Qualifications

• BLS Basic Life Support certification (preferred upon hire)
• Completed nursing aide training program OR STNA/CNA certification OR nursing program with clinicals OR 1 year of relevant clinical experience
• Recent acute care, physician's office, home health/hospice, or long-term care facility experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN guidance.
• Liaise between patient and nurse to report changes and concerns.
• Deliver high-quality customer service to patients and families.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the EHR.
• Assist with patient mobility and activities of daily living.
