Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Ortho/Spine unit at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. The role is full-time (36 hours/week) with day shifts and rotating holidays/weekends.

You will perform essential patient care tasks under RN supervision to ensure comfort, safety and well-being of patients. Qualified candidates will have CPR certification, completion of a nursing assistant training or similar experience, and the ability to prioritize and work well in a team.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required by AHA/Red Cross.
• Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of patient care experience.
• Completion of care Companion Course within six months if required by department.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork and the ability to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with patient care tasks and procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Provide direct patient care under established procedures and guidelines.
