Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• CNA, CMA, EMT, or nursing student with one semester of clinical completed.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Assistant program or Phlebotomy course is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic nursing care activities as delegated by an RN, including monitoring vital signs and recording intake and output.
• Assists patients with personal care and activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating).
• Reports abnormal findings or changes to nursing staff.
• Keeps patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Demonstrates flexibility, organization, and multitasking under stress.
• Uses critical thinking to prioritize unit work as needs change.
• Acts as liaison between patient care units and other departments.
• Answers phones, intercoms, and call lights with appropriate etiquette.
• Manages unit workflow with charge RN or assistant manager when needed.
• Performs pre-census and validates daily admissions/discharges as needed.
