Formación

• Must be 16 years of age.
• BLS certification within six weeks of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Delivers assigned patient care and treatment as delegated by an RN or LPN.
• Performs or assists patients with activities including personal hygiene, bathing, ambulation, transporting, range of motion exercises, dressing/undressing, feeding, changing bandages, elimination needs, and emptying drainage devices.
• Responds to patient calls and ensures patient safety and comfort through safety measures and regular rounding.
• Calculates intake/output and measures vital signs; performs bedside glucose testing; documents in health records.
• Initiates or assists with emergency measures as needed (e.g., CPR).
• Sets up equipment and supplies for procedures; prepares patients and rooms for procedures, admissions, and transfers.
• Observes and reports changes in patient condition to the nurse.
