Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age.
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers certified within six weeks of hire.

Responsibilities

• Delivers assigned patient care and treatment as delegated by an RN or LPN.
• Performs or assists patients with activities including personal hygiene, bathing, ambulation, transporting, ROM exercises, dressing, feeding, and changing bandages.
• Responds to patient calls and ensures safety and comfort through safe patient handling, rounds, and maintenance of equipment and environment.
• Records vital signs, intake/output (excluding IVs), and updates patient health records as required.
• Initiates or assists with emergency measures (CPR) and post-mortem care as needed.
• Sets up equipment and supplies for procedures and prepares patients/rooms for procedures and transfers.

Education

BLS for Healthcare Providers certification
