Job summary

Virtua Medical Group in Voorhees, NJ is seeking a Part-Time Patient Care Technician for Med Surg 4A/2B on Day shift. You will assist with daily living activities and support the care team under RN/LPN supervision.

Responsibilities include vital signs, bladder scanning, Foley care, phlebotomy and EKGs if certified, plus patient education and safety reinforcement. On-site position with a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a PCT course, fundamentals nursing course in an RN program, CNA program, or 1 year of direct patient care.
• BLS certification required.
• Phlebotomy training/education is required for ED positions.

Responsibilities

• Assists with activities of daily living and plan of care.
• Performs vital signs, point of care testing, bladder scanning, Foley catheter care.
• May perform phlebotomy and EKGs if certified.
• Identifies changes in patient status and communicates with RN/LPN.
• Reinforces patient and family education on care needs and safety.
• Participates in patient satisfaction and performance improvement activities.
• Assists in orientation of new hires.
