Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is hiring a Patient Care Technician III to join our care team. The role supports licensed clinicians and provides direct patient care on the unit, with a 32-hour schedule and a 8-hour day shift. Compensation includes potential signing bonus and a labor schedule consistent with the unit’s needs.

The incumbent will perform EKGs, POC tests, IV/hemodynamic setup as directed, and assist with daily living activities while maintaining safety and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school education or GED.
• Current Basic Life Support certification is required.
• Experience in acute care or hospital settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care under supervision of licensed clinicians.
• Assists with daily living activities and mobility for patients.
• Monitors vital signs and responds to changes in patient status.
• Performs EKGs, Point of Care tests, and bladder scanning per hospital standards.
• Assists with unit secretary duties and telemetry monitoring as needed.
• Maintains safety and restocks supplies; adheres to department policies.
