Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician II for Memorial Campus Maternity Delivery in Worcester, MA. This on-site role supports licensed clinicians, delivering compassionate patient care in a high-demand maternity unit.

Responsibilities include monitoring vitals, assisting with daily activities, safety, and coordination with the healthcare team. Requires high school diploma and Basic Life Support, with strong communication and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school education or GED.
• Current Basic Life Support.
• Demonstrated ability to read, write and communicate in English clearly.
• Basic computer skills and medical terminology knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear, timely communication to the RN about patient observations.
• Maintain constant observation for high-risk patients as assigned.
• Support safe environment and use de-escalation techniques as directed.
• Assist patients with daily living activities, hygiene, ambulation and nourishment.
• Aid in moving, lifting, positioning, and transporting patients with proper safety techniques.
• Take and record vital signs and measurements; assist with tube feeding and specimen collection as needed.
