Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician I to provide essential patient care under the supervision of licensed clinicians. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and supporting the healthcare team in delivering safe, compassionate care.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and Basic Life Support. Strong interpersonal and English communication skills are essential; the position offers a day shift with 7 a.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or within 30 days of employment.
• Clear and effective English communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under direction of licensed clinician.
• Assist with daily living activities and mobility for patients.
• Perform vital signs, specimen collection, and basic POC tests as directed.
• Maintain patient safety and provide emotional support to patients and families.
