Northwest Health is hiring a Patient Care Technician to provide high‑quality, patient‑centred care under RN/LPN supervision. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vitals, support mobility, and help maintain a safe care environment in a busy acute setting.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years of acute care experience or are currently enrolled in a Nursing program, with BCLS within 90 days of hire and CNA/CPCT certification preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred
• BCLS within 90 days of hire required
• CNA or CPCT certification preferred

Responsabilités

• Assist nursing staff in delivering care and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Record vital signs, height, weight, oxygen saturation, intake/output, and calorie counts; report findings to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Assist with meals, bathing, grooming, and activities of daily living.
• Assist with positioning, ambulation, and mobility aids.
• Collect urine/stool samples and perform blood glucose monitoring; report results.
• Communicate patient information effectively to the care team and maintain professionalism.
• Maintain infection control practices and proper PPE usage.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and risk management.
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with policies.
