Job summary

Northwest Healthcare in Tucson is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide patient-centered support under RN/LPN supervision. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vitals, help with meals, mobility, and maintain a safe, clean care environment in a fast-paced unit.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a nursing program preferred.
• Basic patient care knowledge and ability to follow instructions.
• BCLS within 90 days of hire; CNA or CPCT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with delegated patient care and maintain a safe, organized environment.
• Record vital signs and data, reporting to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Support meals, bathing, grooming, mobility, and urinary catheter care.
• Assist with positioning, ambulation, and use of mobility aids.
• Collect urine/stool samples and perform finger-stick glucose testing.
• Communicate patient information effectively to the care team and adhere to PPE protocols.
• Participate in safety and infection control initiatives and keep accurate documentation.
