Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a part-time Patient Care Technician to assist with daily living activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse or LPN in Voorhees, NJ. The role emphasizes compassionate patient support and collaboration with the care team at an on-site facility.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of a PCT/CNA program or RN fundamentals, and a current BLS certificate.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of a PCT course, CNA program, or RN fundamentals; or 1 year of direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and plan of care under RN/LPN supervision.
• Document vital signs, phlebotomy and EKGs if certified; communicate changes to the nurse.
• Reinforce patient and family education and participate in patient satisfaction initiatives.
• Support orientation of new hires and participate in quality improvement activities.
