Job summary

Yale New Haven Health’s Bridgeport Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Associate to join our patient-centered team. Under RN supervision, you will support direct and indirect patient care, report assessments, and help ensure safe and efficient delivery of care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, assist with bedside handoffs, and participate in service excellence to create a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA credential, EMT, or other clinical healthcare experience or related training required.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, assist in selected patient care activities and report information to aid assessment and planning.
• Record vital signs as ordered or delegated by the RN.
• Deliver medications from the pneumatic tube system to the appropriate licensed practitioner.
