Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a Patient Care Associate to support the Clinical Nursing team in a fast-paced hospital setting in New Haven, CT. Under supervision, you will assist with direct patient care, take vital signs, and help ensure PFCC principles and safety for patients and families.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with CNA or equivalent training; prior patient care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Ability to prioritize and adapt to unit needs and patient care team.
• CPR certification or readiness to obtain CPR.

Responsibilities

• Under RN direction, obtain and report information for patient assessment.
• Take vital signs and assist with selected treatments and activities.
• Assist in patient care with emphasis on safety and PFCC principles.
• Cover BA desk in absence of BA as directed.
