Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health is seeking a Patient Care Associate at Bridgeport Hospital to support the nursing team in delivering patient-centered care. Under RN supervision, you will obtain vitals, assist with treatments, and help ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate care for diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA/EMT or clinical healthcare experience or related training.
• BLS training preferred/required within 1 month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN in selected patient-care tasks.
• Record vital signs and report deviations to RN.
• Deliver medications/assist with procedures per unit policy.
• Ensure accurate patient identification and safe care delivery.
• Support patient and family communication and teamwork.
