Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• PCA education program or Unit Secretary training preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of infection control principles.
• Basic computer skills required.

Aufgaben

• Provides direct patient care under the direction of a Clinical Nurse.
• Supports the patient care team and maintains a clean, orderly environment.
• Assists with information, directions and assistance to physicians, patients, families, customers and vendors.
• May schedule tests and procedures and maintain patient records.
• May sign patients in and out of the unit and manage supplies/equipment.
• May provide continuous observation including suicide prevention.
