IU Health in Indianapolis is seeking a full-time Unit Secretary to support direct patient care and clerical functions within the patient care team. You will assist in maintaining patient records, scheduling tests, coordinating supplies, and ensuring a clean, safe environment under the direction of a Clinical Nurse, with opportunities for suicide prevention observation as required.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification may be required.
• Basic Life Support certification may be required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology helpful.
• Infection control knowledge beneficial.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct patient care and unit clerical support under RN supervision.
• Maintain accurate patient records and sign patients in and out of the unit.
• Communicate information and directions to physicians, patients, families, and visitors.
• Schedule tests and procedures and coordinate with the care team.
• Order, receive, and deliver equipment and supplies for the patient care team.
• Maintain a clean and orderly patient environment.
• Provide continuous observation including suicide prevention as required.
