Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care is seeking an onsite Medical Assistant serving as a Patient Specialist. You will prepare patients for their visit, perform basic health checks, and help physicians by managing the care flow and patient communications.

The role emphasizes intake, rooming, accurate records, and clear, compassionate patient interactions within a team-based primary care setting.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to support patients with compassion and clarity.
• Ability to document patient information accurately in the EMR.
• Understand infection control and HIPAA guidelines.
• Ability to recognize patient needs and coordinate care with teams.

Responsibilities

• Intake & Clinical Rooming: verify meds, allergies, patient history and perform screenings.
• Inbox & Worklist Management: manage EMR inbox and coordinate same-day touchpoints.
• Education & Loop-Back: ensure patient understands next steps by repeating instructions.
• Maintain patient flow and assist clinicians to focus on medical decisions.
