Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, Associate’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years medical office experience or equivalent required.
• Athena experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments and manage new patient visits, sick visits, physicals, and office visits.
• Answer telephone calls and process requests.
• Process and file e-faxed documents into patient charts.
• Process incoming/outgoing medical records requests.
• Scan paperwork into patient charts.
• Monitor patient portal messages and respond as appropriate.
• E-fax referrals, school physical forms and other patient paperwork.
• Greet and check-in patients for appointments.
• Obtain signatures, insurance cards, and IDs.
• Collect co-pays and balances from patients.
• Check patients out, schedule follow-ups, and monitor for physicals.
• Review upcoming appointments to anticipate needs and supplies.
• Notify patients about labs and medications as appropriate.
• Report needed supplies for ordering to Practice Manager.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
