Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience expected.
• Experience in an outpatient medical office required.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from an accredited college, university, or trade school with a degree, license, or certificate in a relevant field preferred.
• Must possess superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.
• Proficiency in using a Windows computer and Microsoft Office products.
• Must adhere to HIPAA and HIITECH guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Master all tasks and responsibilities of CCS I.
• Opening procedures; prepare for first patient 15 minutes prior to appointment.
• Prepare patient charts two days prior to scheduled appointment.
• Call new patients who have not completed their measures.
• Check CSPMP for all adult and new patients the day prior.
• Obtain patient vitals (BP, pulse, respirations, height, weight).
• Perform medication reconciliation prior to rooming patients.
• Enter provider details for each patient (PCP, referrals).
• Create/sign/fax patient documents (ROI, referral letters, CoC).
• Obtain signatures for Controlled Substance Agreements where applicable.
• Regularly check email throughout the day.
• Forward medication concerns, refills, and prior authorization requests.
• Closing procedures; ensure cleanliness and secure premises.
• Provide courteous customer service to all patients.
