Job summary

Stanford Health Care is seeking a PCC II to support day-to-day clinic operations and learn core policies within our care delivery team in Redwood City, CA. The role emphasizes patient care, documentation, and coordination across providers.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or MA training/certification and at least one year of experience; current BLS is required. You will contribute to safe, efficient clinical workflows and ongoing skill development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent AND one of the following:
• Certificate of completion or official transcript from a medical assisting program
• Completion of medical assistant training by a licensed physician or podiatrist
• Certification as medical assistant through a Medical Board of California – approved medical assistant certifying organization
• At least one year of overall experience (Including external experience)
• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding/billing regulations
• Ability to use computer systems and software in the clinical setting
• Effective spoken and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and follow procedures
• Familiarity with home health, care coordination, and clinical care skills

Responsibilities

• Clinical Expertise Development: Develop expertise in assigned clinic areas.
• Record Keeping and Protocol Compliance: Manage disability paperwork, temperature logs, and infection prevention.
• Patient Care: Perform patient care duties including vital signs, rooming, labs, and medication reconciliation.
• Clinical Administration: Handle check-in/out, virtual rooming, vaccine administration, point-of-care testing.
• Clinic Maintenance: Organize weekly clinic prep, stocking, and supply orders.
• Communication and Coordination: Manage patient calls, prescriptions, and CRM/In-Basket; liaise with providers and staff.
