Job summary

Highbar Physical Therapy is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our clinical team. The PCC will greet patients, handle scheduling, collect co-pays, relay insurance details, and provide authorization information to patients, helping relieve clinicians of administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two to three years of related experience and/or training.
• Associate degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and direct visitors to the clinic.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient calendars.
• Collect co-pays and document payment transactions.
• Explain benefit details, authorization requirements, copays and deductibles to patients.
• Maintain patient charts for the first appointment and update records.
• Assist therapists with faxing patient information to medical offices as requested.
• Read and explain insurance benefits and eligibility to patients.
• Initiate collection activities per company policy and guidelines.
• Review essential reporting and dashboards to ensure tasks are completed on time.
