Job summary

Upperline Health is seeking a proactive Patient Care Coordinator to support physicians and care teams at the Bel Air clinic, serving as the key link between patients and providers.

You will welcome patients, collect information, and ensure smooth check-in while assisting with scheduling and inquiries. This role emphasizes patient-first service in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a front-office, customer service, or healthcare clinic role.
• Prior podiatric or orthopedic practice experience preferred.
• Medical billing and coding experience highly preferred.
• Experience using an EMR system; athenahealth preferred.
• Strong communication skills and professional presence.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the front desk representative, answering phones and greeting patients warmly.
• Ensure accurate and timely patient check-in and information collection.
• Assist with appointment scheduling and patient inquiries.
• Maintain on-time clinic flow by notifying providers of patient arrivals.
• Retrieve, scan, update, and maintain patient records in the EMR (athenahealth).
• Collect patient payments and assist with billing-related questions.
• Manage office supply inventory and maintain an organized front office.
• Protect patient privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Support clinic operations with additional duties as needed.
• Travel to nearby clinics to provide additional support when required.
