Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, 1-3 years of related experience, and comfort with MS Office and web-based systems. Flu vaccination is required and the environment emphasizes teamwork and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Certificate 1 Medical Admin Assistant Cert preferred.
  • 1-3 years related work experience required.
  • Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access).

Responsibilities

  • Greets patients and visitors professionally and with courtesy.
  • Acts as central communications source for patient care and staff.
  • Performs check-in, registration, scheduling, and demographic verification.
  • Collects co-payments and processes payments.
  • Schedules, reschedules and cancels appointments to support providers and patients.
  • Obtains referrals and coordinates with departments to ensure smooth flow.
  • Assists with billing and other duties as needed.
  • May lead a team in the manager's absence.
