Optum NY/NJ is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our Plainview, NY team. The role supports scheduling, documentation, and insurance verification to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality care.

You will collaborate with clinicians and other staff to meet financial, clinical, and service goals while upholding privacy standards. The position requires a 37.5-hour week, with Monday–Friday hours and one occasional evening.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of computer proficiency experience using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• 1+ years in a medical office position performing duties such as scheduling, check-in/out, insurance verification, and medical records maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Obtain accurate patient information (name, address, insurance).
• Perform insurance verification and obtain patient signatures on required documents.
• Check in/out patients and schedule appointments.
• Maintain medical records and filing systems.
• Communicate with patients and care team to support care delivery and Lean processes.
