Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; completed college coursework, Medical Assistant Certificate or Associate’s Degree preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years professional experience in a clinic or medical practice required.
• HIPAA/HITECH knowledge and patient confidentiality duties are essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet, check-in and check-out patients.
• Handle new and existing patient inquiries.
• Ensure patient EMR and correspondence are accurate and up-to-date in the EMR system and update as needed.
• Collect and post patient payments.
• Answer phone calls and emails, relay information and messages accurately.
• Schedule, reschedule and cancel patient appointments.
• Provide support to assigned doctor and assist other PCCs as needed.
• Provide supplement and nutraceutical information to patients.
• Respect patient confidentiality with HIPAA/HITECH laws.
