AEG Vision in Menomonie, WI seeks a Patient Care Coordinator to manage front desk operations, patient flow, and coordination across the care team. You will greet patients, schedule appointments, verify insurance, and maintain EMR records for accurate billing and patient experience.

In this fast-paced role you will optimize provider schedules, communicate clearly with patients about wait times and next steps, and support retention through follow-up and recall initiatives while upholding privacy

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong computer literacy and ability to learn practice management systems (EMR).
• Excellent written and verbal communication with patient-centered service.
• Able to work collaboratively across teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and serve as the primary contact for patient interactions.
• Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and manage email communications professionally.
• Schedule appointments and optimize provider calendars, including cancellations and reschedules.
• Send appointment confirmations and reminders to reduce no-shows.
• Verify insurance eligibility and accurately enter data in EMR.
• Explain coverage, benefits, and patient financial responsibility clearly to patients.
• Prepare patient charts and documentation ahead of visits for smooth flow.
• Document charges and payments in EMR and review accounts for accuracy.
