Job summary

Illinois CancerCare in Bloomington, IL is seeking a highly organized Scheduler to join our clinic team. The role focuses on coordinating the care journey by scheduling follow-up appointments, labs, imaging, and treatments while supporting billing and patient communication.

You will work closely with providers, patients, and clinical teams to ensure accurate, timely appointments aligned with each patient’s care plan in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills required.
• Familiarity with EMR systems and medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule follow-up visits, labs, imaging, and treatments for patients.
• Coordinate with outside facilities as needed.
• Communicate appointment details and test instructions clearly to patients.
• Collect co-pays, verify insurance codes, and enter billing information into the EMR.
• Manage provider schedules and update calendars.
