Job summary

CHAS Health is seeking a Patient Scheduling Specialist in Spokane, WA for full-time engagement. You will act as the first point of contact, delivering accurate information about services, providers, and access options, and scheduling follow-up visits to support continuity of care.

The role involves proactive outreach to reschedule missed appointments, managing a patient waitlist, and coordinating visit types and provider preferences to optimize patient flow and experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in a clinical setting strongly preferred.
• Prior customer service experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service as a first point of contact for patients and delivers accurate information about services, locations, providers, and access options.
• Schedules follow-up appointments before the patient leaves the clinic and, per our Team-Based Care model, provides in-room scheduling when appropriate.
• Performs proactive outreach to reschedule missed appointments and actively manages a patient waitlist to improve access.
• Schedules visits in alignment with provider preferences and updated guidelines, ensuring accurate visit types, lengths, interpreter needs, and patient flow.
