Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Full-time Medical Assistant for a Day Shift in Carroll, IA. You will prepare patients, collect vitals, document procedures, and assist with exams and procedures under provider supervision.

You will schedule tests and ensure accurate records while maintaining confidentiality. Required accreditation-compliant MA program, with one of the listed certifications obtainable within a year, and BLS within 3 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Completed an accredited Medical Assistant program (CAAHP or ABHES).
• Be able to obtain one of listed MA certifications within one year of hire.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Proficient in basic computer skills and MS Office usage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, collect vital signs, and document procedures.
• Administer medications, treatments, and immunizations under provider direction.
• Schedule tests, labs, x-rays, and surgeries with pre/post information.
• Maintain patient charts and ensure complete documentation.
• Educate patients and families, and promote evidence-based resources.
