Qualifications

• Successful completion of a medical assistant program accredited by CAAHP or ABHES.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training within 3 months of hire.
• Clinic/physician office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recognize urgent/emergent needs and initiate appropriate procedures.
• Assist with patient care, exams, and procedures under provider direction.
• Document patient interactions accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Assist with EKG, spirometry, tympanometry, and other diagnostic tests as assigned.
• Maintain aseptic technique and clean, stocked exam rooms.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team.
