Job summary

Physicians Care in South Pittsburg, TN is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to greet patients, activate patient files, and support both patients and medical staff. The role centers on front-desk duties, patient check-in, record handling, and coordinating with clinical teams to keep the clinic running smoothly.

Full-time shifts include a rotating 36-40 hour week with 12-hour weekday coverage and every-other weekend; PRN options are also available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Knowledge of basic computer software and the ability to learn electronic medical records.
• Prior experience in a medical office setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet all patients and visitors, direct them through registration, and answer inquiries.
• Answer multi-line phones, file, fax, scan documentation and complete daily patient callbacks.
• Check in and discharge patients, assist clinical staff and close the office at the end of each shift.
• Collect insurance information, verify patient demographics, process payments, post balances and complete phone sheets.
• Maintain a neat, clean work environment and professional appearance.
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures.
